This 8-day Eastern Bhutan tour offers a rich blend of cultural heritage, spiritual sites, and scenic nature treks. Beginning in Samdrup Jongkhar, the journey passes through Trashi Gang, Mongar, Lhuntse, Sakteng, and Trashi Yangtse. Travelers will explore sacred temples, monasteries, and local markets while enjoying birdwatching along the way. Highlights include visits to Mongar Dzong, the towering Guru statue at Takila, Lhuntse Dzong, and the renowned weaving village of Khoma, famous for Kishuthara textiles. The trip features a trek to the semi-nomadic village of Sakteng and stops at historic sites like Chorten Kora, Bumdeling Valley, and Gomphu Kora Monastery. Cultural immersion continues with visits to the Traditional Woodcraft Center and Zorig Chusum Institute. Day 01. Samdrup Jongkhar – Trashi Gang, (On the way visit temples/ monasteries and Bird watching)
Day 02. Trashi Gang – Mongar, visit Khelikhar lhakhang and after lunch visit Mongar Dzong and explore Local market.
Day O3. Mongar – Lhuntse, visit Takila(Tallest Guru statue),after lunch visit Lhuntse Dzong and Khoma village( well known for Kishuthura).,
Day 04. Lhuntse – Trashi Gang, leisure time.
Day 05.Trashigang – Sakteng(Semic nomadic village) local moderate trekking – On the way visit Rangjung Monastery.
Day 06. Sakteng – Trashi Yangtse. – visit Ancient Chorten Kora stupa, Traditional woodcraft center, Zorichu Sum institute (13 Art and craft).
Day 07.Trashi Yangtse – Trashi Gang visit Bumdeling Valley and Ancient Gomphu Kora Monastery, after lunch visit Trashi Gang Dzong and local market.
Day 08.Trashi Gang – Samdrup Jongkhar, Nature trek from Rangshikhar village to Samcholing Goenpa( one and half hour moderate trek) On the way back visit Chokey Gyatsho institute of Monk.
